Brainy Ladies with Style
This first image is from Shorpy. The second is from University of Chicago's Special Collections digital database. What do you think the women in the second image are doing? It's so odd, but presumably hilarious judging by everyone's reactions. I love both.

Ooh, nice pics! I think those women in the second one are doing one of those "where's the camera?" poses. I've seen lots of male scientist photos where they do wacky poses to show they have a sense of humor. Even harder to find than brainy ladies with style are funny, brainy ladies with style.
Ha, scientists are dorks. So are turn of the century U of C women. I love it.
